I bought a Samsung Tab S8 to replace my aging S2, managed to start it up, get it talking to the Internet and then even managed to transfer all the info from my old tablet to the new one. So far there seems to be only one glitch.
I don't do much on Facebook, keeping my profile private and only contributing to closed groups, mostly photography related but also Adria owners. On each thread is a message to say Facebook does not support my browser and will not allow me to make comments. Worked fine on my old tablet and I don't know where to look for my browser or change it.
Any suggestions from someone with more technical knowledge than me.

You could download a new browser like Chrome from the Playstore or download the Facebook app from the playstore. The app works well.

Download the app....it is much better than using it in your browser.

Can you download a Facebook app?

As above, I think you’ll find notifications etc. easier to manage via the FB app.

Thanks for all the replies, I'll download the app, I suppose I will still be able to access my account and profile.

I always use Firefox on both my phone & tablet never have any problems.
Firefox didn't used to work on Android. Has it changed or are you apple?

Stop Press - Just checked and it is available now. Good call

Personally I wouldn't use the Facebook app - I have no idea how secure it is or what data of yours it will be creaming off and using elsewhere. Better to stick with an established browser as others have suggested.

Browser and FB app both use ssl (encryption).
You won’t change what data you send Facebook using a browser and you won’t get the FB app benefits.

Info on that and other browser v app info here.

No secrets on any computer - anywhere. FB would be the least of your problems.

Android, been using Firefox on phones & tablets for years.
Fair enough i must have dreamed it. Times fly. I have always used Firefox on the PC but i seem to remember a time when it wouldn't work on Android. Maybe it was my version but i distinctly remember the app on play store saying we are working on a version. Might have been donkeys years ago. Never thought to try again as the chrome work fine for me.
