I was going to pre-order one on Friday but, because I have had an expensive month, decided to wait a little while...

The report I read said "at least 35 devices have had trouble"...

That is out of over 1 million sold...

I will be buying my Note 7 as soon as possible which I hope will be in time for Christmas.

Oh yes I will... I reckon it will be sorted by then.... my people tell me it is only one batch of batteries... approx 35 reported problems out of a million sales (so far).

Maybe the price will come down...
