since 2010
Have been doing my daily gander thru ebay motorhomes /campervans etc and dropped on a lovely motorhome, the make of which ive never heard of s&l apollo,it ticks all of my boxes and more, it looks beautifully made, the colour schemes are classy, its got everything my little heart desires………… at sadly twice my price! Ive never heard of this converter, but they look like they know what they are doing,i never wish i had more money ,but unfortunately the green eyed monster appeared in my eyes lol,
never mind i might buy a lottery ticket lol ……………dont look on ebay unless you want the lou ferrigno look ☹️

Just had a quick look and found one on ebay - the interior design is very similar to our ih, and it's interesting that it's also made in Yorkshire.

It makes me wonder if it's built by ex-ih employees

They were definitely at Malvern 2 years ago and looked nice. Very much like an IH and they use Regal furnishings which IH have stopped using on their latest vans, a mistake in my opinion and we have one! Ours is the only decent colour and that’s grey.

S&L started out making horse boxes, in fact they still may do that. From memory it’s run by two brothers.

The similarity to IH was the first thing that struck me . I must admit I had never heard of them before obviously they do not spend a fortune on advertising or attending shows.

Yes i thought ih (cant afford ih either)quality too, but the layout for me was what cracked it, i visited there trade stand at great yorkshire show, but the sales lady wasnt too friendly (i was in work clothes as was working) iwas seriously looking at the time but fate is fickle & circumstances change and i cant warrant spending that amount now , fancy being made in selby , eeee us yorkshire folk like a bit o‘quality
thanks for replies 👍

Have a look at Consort as well. Mind you I think you won’t see any of them second hand yet. Steve Naylor of Vantage has started up on his own again in your neck of the woods. Very similar. I expect the quality will be good. Quite a few grand cheaper but not quite as plush as an IH perhaps. Only in white and no real choice on interior decor either.

When he had Vantage we nearly bought one but they didn’t do trade ins and we were dithering between a Vantage Sol and our first IH630 and that was the final deciding factor.

It seems ridiculous only in white when he had vantage it was just silver I think, he must get a job lot at cheap prices, Scott Naylor I think he’s called.

Been to S&L it’s out in the country but a nice set up, 2 brothers and father set up.

WildAx Europa is almost identical [and about £5k cheaper].
New model coming out this year, so don't know what the price will be.

I also looked at S&L when considering whether to go Vantage or IH. I saw their vans at one of the big shows a couple of years ago, they were indeed very well made, just like Vantage and IH. Their interior was more subtle than IH, and the prices were a little less than Vantage and IH but not much, by the time you have added all the goodies. Very nice vans though-top quality.

That looks really nice, the only thing that puts us off it not being able to swivel the driver’s seat. Nick does like his “man cave” in our IH and similar ! Bathroom is lovely.

That's been addressed in the 2021 layout... there was a launch video... I'll see if I can quickly do a screengrab...

What did you have to go and show me that for! I’ve just been looking at the videos! Nick’s looking now.
Nick has already looked and liked it until he picked up on the odd boot, normally on the U shaped lounge vans you open the doors and have access to a huge boot for chairs , table , etc On this one there was just a little door with a small pipe, a bit like the one from the heater. We will definitely be taking a look in real life though.

I have an S&L Atlanta FL, absolutely beautiful, very well made and a rival to the premium PV conversions. Quality is outstanding from the latches to the routing of all services. Couple of pics for you. However! Soon to say goodbye as we have decided to buy a second property in Cornwall this year and can not justify both ATM but will definitely buy the same again when the time is right.
