I bet good panels are much cheaper in the states. I was lucky enough to have two large panels already fitted. If I didn't have them i think I would baulk at the price compared to a couple or three extra £50 batteries, its rare I am more than 4 days away from a hook up, and even then I have two gennys!

But, as an ideal set up, a roof full of solar panels jostling for space with a satellite internet connection dish would be the dogs.
