I'm sure this has been covered somewhere but I thought it might help some planning a trip in France and beyond.
As you are probably aware, Google Maps has dropped the 'options' section for planning a route, so you cannot select 'avoid toll roads'
Viamichelin offers this option and more.
If you choose to take toll roads it will tell you the cost (category 1 only, I believe) and estimated fuel costs too, so you can make informed choices how you plan your holiday
