We don't use Roscoff but will be on Sunday, back home on the PA 09:45, they are making a big thing about the procedures with latest check-in 08:15 so we planned to get there early. I am thinking of overnighting in the check-in lanes after the Amorique afternoon ferry has completed check-in on Saturday. Is that OK does anyone know? I know there is a motorhome parking opposite but covering bases in case its full :giggle:

You can park opposite the check in. There is a sign showing MH parking.

On the left of this picture. The check in is in the distance.

Thanks I got that. I was just concerned if it was full then I could park in the checkin lanes like some do at Plymouth.

It does get busy but there is room to park sidewise opposite the trucks which Might be a better choice with your MH. Whether it will be busy when you need it is a moot point. 😀 I can only suggest asking as you enter the check-in lanes. I'm sure it won't be a problem.

There's also space at the old SNCF station. We saw a few there that looked like they'd been there a few days last week.
The town is beautiful and well worth a stroll

If you're prepared to risk sleeping in, you could do worse than the aire on the Bay at St Pol de Leon.
It's a big drive mind you. Must be all of 5k.
I would post a photo but I'm on the phone and I lack the skills to c&p to here. It's worth having a look on camper contact or park4night though.

I'd forgotten about that place, it's listed in CamperContact and yes the old bit of Roscoff is worth visiting. 😀

We cycled to it a couple of days ago and great place we will stop there when its not a flit in and out.

We can recommend Crêperie de la plage - SARL Le Chalet.
It's at the start of the quay/car park that leads to the little island to the north of the aire.
We had a meal with a couple from Dijon we met as we were perusing the menu outside.
Didn't know them before we sat down and haven't contacted them since.
Magical experience.

Mike, someone once sent me a birthday card.

On it was a sketch of Napoleon standing on the deck of a ship looking into the murky waters.

Behind him, one sailor was saying to another, 'We' re taking him to be imprisoned on St. Helena but he's contemplating suicide..... He thinks we said St. HELENS. '

:)
