I have an Autoroller 400 (2010) and my dad took it for new tyres today for me. He said the tyre depot had a huge issue with the back wheels as there is a lip or ledge that stopped the wheels from coming off or back on easily. The depot said they have never come across this before and we should get the lip removed and then the body re~welded. They had to use three jacks to get it up high enough to remove the wheels.
I cannot fathom what on earth the issue is but has anyone come across this and what should we have done as I’m not convinced on what they were saying and certainly not getting pieces ground off!
It’s a ford transit mk 7 for the cab.
Thank you in advance.

There are a few coach built vans that are a bit tricky to get the rear wheel out from the arch but i dont think this is one of them. The wheel arch is likely to be plastic or some form of plastic compound, so cutting and welding is out.

is it possible that they probably jacked it under the axle instead of the chassis jacking points?

There’s every chance they did 😂
I have googled it with every phrase and nothing is coming up so clearly it’s not an issue for anyone else. Thank you,
