Getting there!
Any recommendations for an overnight spot at/around Richmond please? Due to be up there end Nov early December for a day and wondered about making a night of it. See the club site is shut from the 6th November , Brit Stops shows nothing either, as does Park 4night. Thanks.

Hope you have more luck than us in Richmond we where not in the motorhome this time but found it impossible to park a car we drove around for about 15 mins before giving up and going somewhere else shame because it looked a nice town .

Funny you ask, we’re going to Altberg (the boot company) in Richmond on Wednesday. They are on a small industrial estate on the out skirts of Richmond. There looks to be plenty of room to park the motorhome. I’ll have a look and let you know if it look feasible for a night or two.

We’re going to Tan Hill tomorrow night then to Altberg on Tuesday not Wednesday. There is also CBs ( the Charles Bathurst) another pub just out of Reeth where you can stay in the motorhome. I have stayed in the centre of Reeth on the cobbles. It says no camping but asked in the pub and the barman asked if I was putting up a tent. When I said I was in a motorhome his answer was, then you’re not camping.

I have Altbergs and they are brilliant. I had a bike/ walking boot made to measure. They send them out to you when they are finished and if you try them out walking on a carpet you can send them back if they aren't comfortable. Great service and not that expensive.
