anyone stayed at townsend farm for the airshow?

I'm looking at going to the airshow next year, my girlfriend can use the in-van facilities but prefers not to when there is an alternative so looking at sites with toilets
any reviews of townsend farm......full of idiots...crammed like sardines...etc?

can't stay on the riat site as van is too big

We have stayed there a couple of times. It seems to be run by a couple of young guys. It is basically around 5 fields with a couple of temp shower blocks and porta loos. Pitching is random and all over the place. I suppose the whole thing could be described as a bit basic. They could do with increasing the frequency of toilet emptying. But if it’s your only option and you want to go you will manage.
