Gwynedd car parks allow overnight stays. We stopped at Machynleth will be going back. Nice pint in the pub, good chippy and free overnight.
Even the parking warden was friendly, told me no need to pay for daytime parking as he was clocking off.. bugger.. was 10 mins to early !!

I just stayed at The Lion, Llanbister overnight. 20 mins from the Elan Valley. Friendly landlord and landlady. Water available, also EHU, bit font know it that is free. No toilet dump though.
Went onto Dolgellau, and overnighted in the car park. Signs saying no overnight camping but we weren't disturbed. Lovely cycle route along the estuary to Barmouth.
