Revolut rip off ?

Had a card for about 8 years now and in general I have been very pleased
Out of the blue 'due to security' the card was cancelled today, with the option of a replacement.. No problem I thought
That was until I realised I was charged £9+ for the replacement !
As is well known, it is impossible to contact Revolut to see what the hell they are up to

Not some sort of scam is it?
 
We've always been able to contact them. You can start a chat with them in the app:

Log in > click your initials in the top left > Help > New Chat with support agent
 
i had to change my card 2 weeks ago they said improved security. did not have to pay and arrived within 3 days.
Yes we had to get new cards as well due to improvement, at least they were free.
Our new cards are waiting at our postal address.

Yes, I got the same mails but was assured the new card was on the way
Then it was cancelled and I had no choice but to pay for one

First thing I tried, after waiting 2 hours 20 minutes I gave up !
 
I used Revolut chat yesterday evening and waited 5 minutes.
Seems like they just do not like me !
First I am ignored and then have to pay for a re a replacement card !

I had an email over a month ago, advising of the improvements to security etc, and gave me the opportunity to renew my card, which was due for renewal in April. I ordered the basic model which arrived within four days, no charge.


I read recently that cash transfers Monday to Friday are still free of charge, but are chargeable if actioned at the weekend. Over 1K transfers , I think are chargeable, so mid week only at under 1K seems the way to swim!

Calming down today I thought to give the 'chat' another go

Was replied to in just a few minutres this time, the guy looked at the account and was as baffled as I as to why I had to pay !
Sorted it all out in about 10 minutes and refunded the lolly straight back to the account :)

Thank you one and all for your input.. it was purely down to you guys I persevered (y) :cheers:

Missed this thread, just came to the top of the pile and I can see I am too late.
I also got the message they are replacing my card and it was free.

Glad you got it sorted.
