The reversing light comes on when I turn the ignition on,when NOT in reverse. Hhmmphhh!

I guess there is a switch which puts it on when reverse gear is engaged, and it’s stuck on? If so,where is the switch?

If I can’t cure it immediately,I’ll remove the bulb, and get it seen to at the next service, but I’d like to do it myself if I can. I’m hoping one of you folk will tell me to spray it with wd40 or tap it with a hammer (once I know where it is!) as that’s about the limit of my electrical engineering skills!

Thanks in advance.

Flick through these pics and it shows you where it is situated.

I imagine it is stuck, so would remove and try to operate by hand.

Thanks. Landy Andy and. M-J ,I’ll take a look at it tomorrow and see how I get on. Grandchildren round at the moment and my patience is wearing thin, bless their socks,so not the best time for me to test my patience further

Make use of the Grandchildren they have smaller hands and you could hold them by the ankles while they change the switch

Well,by the time they’d been up and down two chimneys a few times they were too tired. One of them complained that it was a bit smoky up there........bloody hell they’ll be expecting me to put the fire out next!

Had a good look...couldn’t find it.

Neighbour had a good look......couldn’t find it.

Neighbours son had a good look.........found it,but said couldn’t get at it without a ramp or pit.

Revert to Plan B.....remove bulb and get garage to fix it at next service in Feb/March.
