Morning all

Mildred has returned to the fold and we are excited to get her ready for her maiden voyage in a couple of weeks. The dealer has addressed all the concerns we had and everything is tickety part from the reversing camera. I'm spoilt, in that everything I have is UHD/HD/4K etc but the image from this is absolutely below par!!
So, how do I remove it? Is it a twist and wiggle? Pull with pliers? Dismantle half the cupboards over the bed?
This might sound like a silly question but I'm the sort of guy that Googles "how to use a hammer"........smash it, bash it, destroy it...I'm your man....anything else requires guidance

Does it have a bead of silicone around it…..? How high up the ‘van is it?

I can't see any silicone and just below the third brake light at top of van

That type has a nut on the back of it I believe. So the rear part of the camera body is threaded, wires go through the nut and the nut tightened clamping it in place.

So it’s behind the over bed cupboard then? Is there an access panel/cut-out?

! issue maybe the replacement camera size, you may also need to remove the Sleeve it is mounted in, if you cannot find a camera to fit ! I would be looking on Ali Express to see if there is a camera on there that would be a direct replacement

I've had a good look and can't see anywhere to access the camera from inside the van. I can't imagine that by removing the third brake light there would be enough access.

Worth a look. Normally they are a sealed void but someone might have cut through to allow access for camera nut and wires.

From memory ours was accessed that way on a Roller Team 690. I seem to remember having to silicon the brake light when putting it back

Are you planning on replacing camera and all cables or just camera? I ask because the pic on mine is awful also but I don't really want to be going pulling out and replacing a cable run.

Just replacing camera. The dealer fitted a new monitor and tbh the image is just usable but why squint if you don't have to?
