Replacement plastic window success

A couple of years ago I noticed water inside one of my side plastic windows

turned out we had a crack / split along the top, took window off and tipped all water out

next rain it half filled again, as taking off was slightly risky as in i could break it completely, so I then drilled 2 x tiny holes in the bottom and it drained slowly.

I did try some plastic sealant on the window but without success, but the split ran virtually right across the window

thought my drainage solution would make a permanent fix, but the window steams up a lot and then developed black mouldy spots inside

today at long last I got round to sourcing a new window, I had expected a much bigger cost, but sent this photo to Leisure Spares

within 10 minutes they called back , not in stock but can get, it comes complete with all catches and hinge , delivered £240 which I didn’t think was too bad and about half what I had guessed

That was cheap, been a while since you have broken something on your van as it was a couple of years ago I'm not sure if that counts.

Leisureshopdirect wanted £440 for the same.

They placed their order and have just now been told it is no longer made

Back to square one for now, really annoying that a window that was being fitted so recently has been discontinued. But at least we can still use MH at least

Your post has reminded me that I also need to replace a window. I took a piece out of it sometime ago when reversing whilst the window was open!! (Idiot). However I retrieved the piece that broke off and used superglue to repair. It’s held up well but is noticeable so I think it needs replacing. I’ll go and see if I can find the descriptive label an then try and source.

UK leisure seem very good.
I’ve an issue with my new window, looks like dust or a pattern from release film, inside my new window. Emailed them and they rang back and said they will order me another.
I know things can have problems but it’s how the company deals with it make the difference.

sadly no, different size, had emailed them today, they don’t have it and said not a U.K. size being a Hymer I am not surprised but they didn’t know that

mine is 900 x 600 you have quoted 500 x 300
