Removing a fridge that is 2cm wider that the habitation door !

One of the many advantages of a Phoenix van is that the walls and roof are built first and all the interior components have to pass through the entrance door. It also means that all the wiring and plumbing is more easily accessible.

Has anyone with an Autotrail Arapaho changed their fridge/freezer ? My dilemma is that the fitted unit is wider than the habitation door and it looks as if the unit must have been fitted before the door aperture was fitted in build. Has any tried to remove the aperture and have you any advice
I seem to remember a friend of mine had the same issue and took it out through the vehicle passenger door

Don’t do what did . Cut all the pipe work off the back of the fridge
Although it was a good way to check that the carbon Monoxide alarm works.

Definitely get the new one in before taking the old one out (assuming its working).
Surely; if the old one weren't working, it wouldn't matter where the new one was and whether or not the old one were removed first.

I'd be organising a new habitation door of sufficient width and then doing the removal and replacement of fridge.

Bovadriver1 - you posted between my starting to write and the posting of my response.
Pleased that you got it sorted out and for less cost than my idea.
