Remoska via Inverter?

No reason why not providing you have sufficientbattery power.
What is the wattage of your Remoska?
If it has any electronics in the controls it would be best to use a pure sine wave inverter.

You can certainly run a Remoska off an inverter. As long as your inverter and battery set up is capable of supplying the power needed by it. The small Remoska is 400W so something like a 600W invertor (or greater) would be ok - it's good to have a few spare Watts over what you need. Doesn't matter if its pure sine wave or not, the Remoska won't mind as it's just a heater element.

Yes, but why bother?
Splash out on an Omnia instead. Expensive, but cheaper than batteries.
As a rule, avoid using the batteries to generate heat.

At 400W it would be pulling 30 Amps from the batteries all the time its on.
I assume it has a thermostat so hopefully it would average ½ that. If you are going to cook something for a couple of hours fine in summer if you have plenty of solar but I wouldn't use it in winter. This is assuming you have a decent battery bank.

No thermostat but a lot of things are cooked in 45 minutes or less so not a massive amount of power, evening meal you need the sun to shine the next day or eat at lunchtime ;)

Have both, have just bought a new remoska, never get a whole chicken in an omnia, at least not in one piece

True. The Omnia is not an ideal shape but much of what we do is a compromise.

The 3-way Remoska can be used as a hob top oven, as well as the usual lid heater mode. And can also work as a pressure cooker and standard casserole dish.
That's the Tria https://www.lakeland.co.uk/62392/Remoska-Tria-3-in-1-Oven-to-Table-Electric-Cooker £199 at Lakeland but cheaper at Alza https://www.alza.co.uk/remoska-t4145-tria-red-d5690454.htm?o=1

Unless you have configured your set up to cope with it.

Just had my dinner today from my Remoska I’m my mh, took 50 mins to cook pork chops potatoes and carrots perfect meal and very very tasty as steams as well as cooks so potatoes and carrots are very nice !!!!!!!
I use my Remoska approximately twice a week to give batteries a chance to recharge up. You need an inverter that can cope with about 400 watts area as Remoska uses 400 and the grand uses about 600w area

That reminds me of another good alternative: Mr Dee (thermal cooker).
You do the prep, which includes initial heating-up, then leave it to continue cooking for the next few hours.
We find it handy for long trips with an uncertain arrival time. The meal is waiting when you are ready for it.
We put it in the sink, in case of spills.

Went to Lakeland a while back to check these out and they didn't have any. When I asked the sales assistant she said there had been a problem with them so had been withdrawn but hopefully they would be back but she had no idea when. Don't know whether or not they are available again yet.

That's interesting - they are shown as in stock on their website now.
