Excuse my ignorance but is the remoska intended for home use or in the MH? Have been planning to get an Omnia for the gas hob once we can lay our hands on our vehicle, bit this looks kind of interesting..

The Remoska can be used anywhere that you have a mains electric supply - we have the Grand at home & the Standard for the motorhome - they cook the best roast chicken! They are a great energy saving alternative to an electric oven & can cook all the same things. Omnia rates well for cooking on gas.

I have an Italian equivalent Omnia think i am 3rd funster to have it, none of us took to it. Great that it goes on the hob
- if it fits - but found the shape didn’t work well for the things I like to make.
remoska is electric. Only and I love it so versatile i have one at home and one in the van. My grande has died after many years use. Last night i had a whole trout had to cut the head off to get it to fit, cooked in the remoska was on my plate before my Electric oven would have been heated up.

I bought one a few years ago and couldn’t get on with it at all and sold it on E Bay , my sister however cooks nearly all her meals in hers and loves it , she sent me a pic of her ramoska Yorkshire puds this week , looked v impressive .

Is a Remoska really that easy to cook with? The photos make it look easy but I have bought gadgets in the past that have promised the earth and have turned out to be expensive cupboard fodder!!

First of all the Remoska is not a ‘gadget’!
The Remoska is one of the easiest things to use.
I cooked a whole Chicken last night in a 2lt one in the van, Sat it in the Remoska dropped a quartered red onion and some baby potatoes in with it, smattering of pepper, salt & dried herbs, put lid on turned it on and sat down with a G&T.
70 or so minutes later we had roast Chicken, beautifully cooked potatoes, some green veg-done in pan on hob-and tasty gravy-juice from the Chicken.
I did very little!
Yesterday I put a Bread & Butter pud together in the Remoska and about 30-40 mins later……luverly!
I use it for my cakes too, carrot or walnut or fruit, etc.
This Christmas I will dry roast a lump of Beef in the Slow cooker and roast my root veg in the Remoska!

It's quick, efficient & easy - the only difficult bit is handling the big hot lid which can be awkward in a small space. If you don't want to cook in contact with the aluminium pan use an additional pan or Pyrex dish inside it.

Lakeland have just added more stock of the Standard at £74.99 delivered - that's a bargain! See <Broken link removed>

Jimbob53 Bought a new grande yesterday, Lakeland have no plans to include it in any sales at the moment. My old one lasted 11 years, so really earned it’s keep. We have an electric oven in the house, can have some things cooked in the remoska before the oven is up to temperature. Use it almost every time i would normally use an oven. Best bits of kit also have the small one, well 2 one in the van and the old one 12 years old, which I take in the doblo and sometimes use at home. If you are on faceache there is a remoskateers group, with a look to see how versatile it can be.
