My old remoska has given up the ghost while baking 4 jacket potatoes last night,it fused the house twice ,its about 10years old , i had it in motorhome i wondered if lakeland promised a lifetime guarantee,or have i dreamt this?
no big deal if not , i just wondered thats all,it was in caravan on drive and i only fetched it in to use because it does the best jackets ever, and my domestic fan oven is playing up and keeps cutting down to low temperatures. It looks like fate wants me to live off salads lol

Lakeland website says three years. Might be different when you bought yours so maybe give them a call...

The new models have 3 years, but the old one we took into Lakeland they gave us £60 for it. 👍🙂
We still have an old model, and a new one. 😁 Bob.

Lakeland do still sell Remoskas as they are still the only UK distributor. If you have an old one with proof of purchase from before they changed from Lifetime to 3 year guarantee on all that they sell you should at least get something back so worth a try.

I know little of electrics but, with your other electrical cooker problems, are you sure your home electrics are okay?
I would get them checked out. especially if they were both using the plug box?

We found our old one would a fuse if the lid wasn’t lifted square, seemed like moisture inside would short something.

IT WAS THE FUSE!!!!
thanks for replies, i checked the fuse and put a new one in,and its worked ok,altho it might be like manic said that i didnt lift the lid squarely off 😬, it was only a 3 amp fuse too ,which i thought with it being a heating appliance it would be a 13 amp fuse, no l’hobo its the neff oven playing up ,and im just to tight to buy a new one, finding a tradesman to put it in etc .i know ill have to bite the bullet and buy one,but with airfyer and remoska ill soldier on . Cheers pampam

Pampam - glad you got it sorted.
Although this was a little while ago, our Remoska went "pop". I am totally non-technial so took it apart and the coil heating element sprang all over the kitchen. Obviously I couldn't put it back so rang Lakeland for advice on a repairer. They said just put it in the original packaging, return it and it will be replaced. Well even I don't keep the packaging after at least 12 years. No problem they said - we'll send a new on then you can package the old one in the new box and give to the delivery man so no cost incurred in returning it.
Lakeland have a good reputation for customer service but I consider that was above and beyond.
I don't see why they can't replace the old style Remoska (with a new one) as it was purchased with the lifetime guarantee.

That's one of the great things about the Remoska - the very low power requirement. :giggle:

The current standard Remoska is rated at just 400 watts, and probably yours is something similar. Hence a 3 amp fuse would be fine, and the correct one. (y)

Mrs mikebeaches loves using it in the kitchen at home because she says it uses so much less electricity than heating and using the oven on the cooker. ;)

The larger, grand ramoska is only 650watts.....less than 3 amps.
I'm sure the standard ramoska is 470watts . ..less than 2 amps.
