Thinking of fitting Remis window blinds to our Mk8 Transit ( chausson)

However ours has the rain sensor box behind the rear view mirror.

When researching this it looks like they don’t make a set, as the box prevents the blinds joininng in the middle of the windscreen when closed.

Has anyone solved this? Or can you get other blinds, and I have just missed them?

We don’t have rain sensing wipers, so the box might be empty. Perhaps take it off, but would that leave a mark on the windscreen?

Remis now make them for Fiats with rain sensors, are you sure they don’t do them for the tranny?

could you manufacture or have made a jointing strip to fit between the two front blinds to join them together that allows for the width of rain sensor. it would have to be inserted/positioned each time you use the blinds?

It would have to be magnetic as that’s what holds the together, strip magnets the full length of them

Thanks everyone for the replies.

They do make them for trannys , if there is not a rainsensing box behind the mirror.

Will check out the Fiat design and see.

The idea of an extra bridging strip sounds like a solution.

Just find the right material( maybe material that forms the window blind, and a couple of magnetic strips, and see what happens when you don’t fully close a full set.)

i had wondered about one pulling up from the bottom of the screen to the top, fashioned to the right shape, but suspect the costs might be prohibitive, even if doable.

Guess will have to wait until the shows and dealers open up,

I have installed the Remisfront IV in my Ducato.

I really like them, they are expensive when you see how flimsy they are, but I still would recommend them.

The magnetic strip grips well if both edges are fully in line and fully closed, but if not they do try to retract to their cassette.

Do Seitz do blinds for the tranny? they close vertically rather than horizontal.

The previous link quoted that they were for the rain sensor model.

However when you look at the 2019/2020 Remis catalogue it look as though if you have what they call a visibility pack they are only available for left hand drive transits?

Im not sure what would be different between left and right hand drive on a tranny but something must be different. The Fiat ones don’t differentiate between drive side.

It does show the mirror/rain sensor configurations and how they go round it tho.
