Notice that our Remis on the side windows have gotten quite stiff over the last couple of months. These are the ones on the kitchen, side windows and not the classic windscreen or drivers/passenger door types.

The version is called REMIbase II:

Any ideas of how to make them a little easier to slide up and down ? Had a quick look at the mechanism to see if it was something that may need some Teflon spray but doesn’t look like it would help and also conscious that it may stain the paper blind itself.

On ours I noticed that some of the pleats at the edges were a bit crumpled, although it didn't affect their performance, it may be that causing them to bind on the cord and just needs straightening?

If you remove the two top corner covers you will see a grub screw you can tighten or loosen to make the blind go up and down a bit easier , just adjusted one of mine

You’re a star !!!

We give that a try this week.

:thanks3:

You can see it in this pic, little black circle is the grub screw, it has the strings running through to tighten or loosen.
