Hi Funsters

Looking for recommendations for some new chairs please.

Our must have’s are;

High back
Breathable fabric (not padded)
Separate or integrated foot rest
Super comfy
High quality
Suitable for use as a sit up dining chair or lounger

Thanks

Dukdalf Aspen...

You can also get a Duckdalf footrest that attaches to the seat or as we do and get a couple of Lafuma cantilever foot footstools (they can also act as a small table).

As always, shop around for best price.

Found them on EBay for £114 including the foot rest

Edit - which is the same price as Aztec

We like our Outwell Kenai chairs.
Prefer chairs with individual feet rather than "solid" bar on the ground as easier to get stable.
Pretty lightweight but strong and they fold down really flat.
You can get them much cheaper elsewhere (c£65).
There's also an optional foot rest for them.

We have Dukdalf chairs but ours have the rectangular ally frames a bit heavier but a lot stronger than the tubular frames. Bought ours in 2002 still going strong.

I have dukdalf. Bought off Ebay. Pd £30 the pair!
You really need to try chairs out before tou buy.

Thanks Lenny
Any idea how tall they are when folded?
Our garage door opening is not massive
Here am I brain the size of a planet and I have to go and measure chairs.

1080mm.

We have the Isabella ones with the “lace up” sides. Very versatile with separate foot rests allows them to be used sitting at the table. My only reservation is the colour, Black, they get blummin hot when the suns been on them.

Another vote for the Dukdalf Aspen. We bought them after a recommendation from another funster who hah had his for 10 years. So far we have been very happy with them.

We got the same make in 2003. Bang on and still as good as new. We hardly ever take the footrests though. MrsB says I snore when I’m horizontal and full of beer.??

We had to ditch our aluminium ones as being fat bastards we found they weren't strong enough. Got some steel ones, a bit heavier but much stronger, and use the footrests from the previous ones.

I managed to find the last of stock in Chichester Caravans an Isabella Relax Chair (or commonly now known as gravity chair). Amazon product ASIN B01DMJ74J0They dont make the Relax model anymore.

Its Sooooo comfortable, a great find, but sadly the Mrs had to make do with a different bargain, recently found in B&M a double pack of gravity chairs for £50, they are good, but they dont have a touch on my Isabella !!

We ditched our LaFuma recliners, although comfy, they were too heavy.
Looked at Dukdalf but opted for Isabella chairs and bought the add on leg extenders and they’ve been fantastic so far.

Probably not what you are looking for but we love our Coleman Sling chairs for less than forty quid each. Incredibly light, fold up to nothing and very comfy. Not a lazing around for ages in chair though sorry. They don’t complain about my weight either!

My current chair of choice, very light and fold up nice and tight. Much comfier than my old padded high back.

If I could find something with a similar folding system with an add on foot stall I would possibly change.

Friends of ours have quest recliner chairs, comfy but very big and heavy, not for me.

Which, of the many, chairs mentioned in this thread are you referring to?

Ian

Am loving this thread, am a chairaholic. Might need to have a garage sale soon ;)
Have 3 or 4 of the umbrella type chairs, child size which have been outgrown by all but 1 grandchild and she always wants grandads chair when we are away.
We do need some new ones for us, and now john packs the garage differently we are not quite so restricted by size. Dont want padded seats, but do want comfy ones, suitable for sitting at a table as well as relaxing, dont need foot extension as I use my folding stool. dont like the ones with the shaped headrest as they don't work for my height.
