Hi,

I have an iPhone 7 with UK SIM. But I also use a Spanish mobile. Instead of going down the XR/XS route with dual sim.

I was hoping to find something cheap.

iPhone 4/5/6’s are silly money even used and who knows if they are any use.

So?

What can we suggest please?

So long as it can use WhatsApp, happy.

I picked up a half decent samsung sim free from pcworld for my sister recently about £100
 
I always get mine when my rich friends upgrade. Usually give them £75 they are happy as otherwise it will sit in a drawer for years. I even buy them with a cracked screen for £20 then gat it repaired for £20 (y):)
I forgot if you go o Tesco’s they will give you a free Hauspie if you take out a rolling monthly contract then you can do what you want with it checkout their website.

I purchased a Motorola after years of iPhones best move I made , cheap and great battery, bought a g6 for my wife and a e5 for myself new from £100 -£150

Have a look at Xiaomi REDmi Note 8. Cracking good phone for around £100. They are known as the Chinese Apple with shops all over China. Just check the spec, I've had one for just over 9 months and it's been perfect.
 
Wileyfox make decent, cheap smartphones, including dual SIM ones ( so you could leave your main one at home for traveling ).
 
We have a Motorola G6 and a G7 really happy with them

Motorola G7 plus or power (bigger battery).
£125 to £159... Even John Lewis stock them and often have opened box models if you ask for £20 less.
Or .... Gift Gaff refurbished iPhone 6 is about £110 today with 6 months warranty and unlocked.

Terry introduced me to Cubot phones a few years back have been using them since on an original Max at the moment and a x19 as back up both running android 9
Works for me.
 
The new max in my next one .
Had no probs using overseas

I have this one using 3 sim
Again works well

There are cheaper ones quad or duel core .
