Dyson hand held Animal, motor driven brush attachment picks up all the dog hair.
Expensive to buy but mine is 15 yrs old now, just cleaned all the filters and sucking like a good’un.
Charge up on inverter whilst driving.
Dyson don’t do a 12v charger, wouldn’t want to trust a generic one, vacuum too dear to ruin.

We use our old Dyson. Got it mounted in the rear locker where it’s permanently plugged into a 13a socket. Whenever we do get EHU it automatically charges. Never let us down yet.

I second the makita choice, yes battery is pricey but I use it for vacuum, tyre pump and small leaf blower for clearing site!I have a hand held Makita rechargeable battery operated vacuum cleaner! It is made for Trade use and is very powerful. Excellent unit. The vacuum cleaner was fairly cheap to buy but the batteries are more pensive. I have a range of Makita tools so had batteries and charger already. Two Golden Retriever dogs - so a good vacuum cleaner is a must. One fully charged battery will last many weeks away.

I take my Bosch rechargeable upright. It’s lightweight easy to use and sorts out a GSD hair quickly.I am looking for the above, for the van. I don't want to spend a fortune but want something that will be reliable and pick up dog hair. We spend about 60 nights away on average.
Any recommendations, thanks in advance
I agree! I've had several different 12v plug in and rechargeable vacuums and this one is by far the best. Battery only lasts 10 minutes, but no problem in the van. I recharge from an Anker Solix. It's so compact too Mine was £59, but got it "free" with Asda double up vouchers a few weeks ago.I use a Shark hand held model for Moho & cars.
Normally £79.99 but got it for £49.99 in a sale; paid for with a £50 Amazon voucher courtesy of YouGov surveys, so cost me nothing apart from a few hours filing in pointless surveys

Buy a Dyson, and when you are not travelling use it in the house. Having had an old hand held Dyson that the battery died, I must say don't try and find one on Ebay. Treat yourself to a new one for you to use in the motorhome and quickie clean ups in your house! You won't be sorry!I am looking for the above, for the van.
