Rear view camera system display too dim.

Does any one know of a rear view camera system that has enough brightness to be seen in bright daylight. As soon as the sun comes out display is useless. About two years old and never been that good.

What model? I recently posted about a similar problem using a Zentec head set. A few had the same problem but most were OK.

Ours was like that before it packed up altogether and I replaced it with a 700TVL model from Parking cameras.

Huge improvement. The new one came with a hood over the camera to provide shade also.

You should be able to increase the brightness somewhat in the settings, but we find ours isn’t so great in bright sunshine sometimes.

The display that is too dim is a MON705/MON15, 7" directly wired to a CAM222WNV4 twin lens camera. Both are under two years old. Have tried with and without monitor shade and tried adjusting camera shade to different angles. We have tried all combinations of brightness and contrast adjustment. We have no interior mirror so need a display that is visible in sunshine. Out TomTom sat nav is always visible so know it is posible to have a usable display. One possibility is that our monitor is described as auto dimming, there seems to be a sensor in the corner of the display on the same side as the display screen. I wonder if the sensor only ever sees the darkened interior of the van and so stays dim. I have pondered fitting some kind of light channel pointing at the windscreen or even dismantling the monitor to move the sensor to point towards the screen.

Edit. I have removed the name of the seller as their website indicates they are temporarily closed due to bereavement. And, in fairness, other suppliers also sell it.
