I'm a newbie
Hi, My daughter has a 1999 Luna Delta 5202, When we are putting the camper away it has to go up an incline in reverse, I have been told that when going up an incline in reverse the towing hitch compresses as if its braking going foward, does any one know if there is a device that clamps to the towing hitch to stop this happening when in reverse?

No device for the towing hitch, what it does have is a device built into the brake drums to free the brakes off whilst reversing.
There is an initial resistance before the brakes free off, thats normal, so in effect, its automatic.
Hope this helps.

Unless it's a very old hitch ( before the auto reverse brakes) in which case it should have a little lever to flip over to stop the coupling sliding. Of course you then had to remember to flick it off again for the brakes to work.

A 199 Lunar will have an Al-Ko hitch and brakes will auto disengage.
Non release brakes when reversing on caravans died out in the 70's
