Do you wear your bouyancy aid beneath or over your Cag ?
Having previously only kayaked in warmer climates, I decided to buy a Cag as I`m booked in a Welsh lakeside campsite in a couple of weeks and fancy getting some paddling in, weather permitting.
I`d thought it would go over my bouyancy aid, but it won`t fit over.
Is there any advantage one way or `tother ?

Over the top. If you wore the cag on top it would be tight and restrictive as you have found and you would end up with the buoyancy aid and cag over the top of your spray deck and then you hit a wave and all the water whooshes up your cag and then runs down inside and freezes your bits.

OK, so I need to send it back for a bigger size.
Whats the advantage in having your Cag over bouyancy aid ?

You can access any pockets in your BA without unzipping jacket, likewise a knife/throw bag.
If you're towing another kayak you can't clip it off on your BA.
