Has any one seen one of the new style zip six sided pop up, these have zip sides instead of Velcro and you can zip five together to make an event shelter if needed.

Steve and Denise you need the pro version this has the zip side we have just bought the 4 sided here but they also do the 6

Yes Dave that’s the one I want just wondered had any one seen one in the flesh so to speak.

I think I will order one next week when we get back and I can always move this one on.

Typical, I was quite happy just reading the different posts on the forum when I came across your's and now I want one of these Quest screens :swear2: , more money :swear2:

Well being honest I think the quest screen house will make wind out awnings a thing of the past.
We have not fitted an awning to our new van as we never got much use out of the last one always to scared to use it in case of the wind picking up and damaging the van.
I have read a few expensive horror stories on here.

I agree Steve.

Only wound out our awning twice since we bought the old girl ?

If I bought a new van, highly unlikely as I’m not a landlord ?, I wouldn’t fit an awning.

Ha ha Rich I only bought a shelter because some wealthy funster was selling one as he had two ??

Interesting comments from Silver-Fox and Steve and Denise . We have a Quest pop-up and decided not to fit a roll out awning on our new van (bought in 2017) as we believed the Quest pop-up would cover every eventuality ..................... we were wrong. We've just got back from a 3 month tour and the last month it was roasting hot. :hot: We stayed on stellplatz, aires and 1 fully fledged site. In most cases either the Quest was not allowed or, in the case of the site the pitch wasn't big enough for our van (8 metres) plus pop-up. We were continually moving chairs round to get some shade from the van, the fridge struggled and it was uncomfortable for the dog. We're now pricing up fitting a roll out awning ready for the next tour.

That looks great - can you tell me more. You say you made it - how? And how is it attached to the van? Thanks.

I did a thread on this some time ago but don’t know how to find it.
I got the sheet made by the bus shelter co in Hull.
The rail is sika521 to the van with a few small screws to hold it till it set we have used it in some very strong winds and never had to worry about it. We did see one, made by some awning company at Crowland caravans last week for less money but ours is 4mtrs.

Here is a picture of the rail from Pioneer caravans

Now that I could live with.
If the wind really got up you would be worried about it wrapping itself over the roof.
