Just thinking aloud.... But..... with so many PVC owners in the club now...

Would it be an idea to have a PVC forum... There are other forums for the like 5th wheels/ American RV`s/Self build motorhomes etc...

Where by owners could ask specific questions which only relate to PVC... Tip`s... How do you... Problems... best place to buy...etc...

Or would this come under the umbrella of "Small Motorhomes"

What do PVC owners think...?

At the end of the day it would be down to Jim .......

Ready for incoming flack.... :imoutahere:

We are special and we could be led by you as youā€™re Extra Special! It must be true as Jim has verified it on your avatar.

I like the idea, might be handy for tips and problems. We are getting quite knowlegeable between us about quite a few brands now.

There are plenty of forums, websites, magazines, secret clubs etc that specialise on PVC fetishists. Some are quite entertaining

Joking aside..... My thinking is....

A lot of PVC`s do not have the same quirky features as coach built and mass produced vehicles...

As a lot are built specifically for a PVC...

And some have totally different build features....

So just thought it would be good to have a forum, where by owners may be able to help out others with PVC`s.. and compere notes...

Be careful ... we don't know exactly what the 'extra' bit stands for ... with old-mo it could be anything!

No incoming flack from me, as long as we can have an 'A' Class forum too.

]For Jim] This forum is getting so populated in that I go away for 5 days and have to go to p.7 to catch up, so some splitting down may be an advantage.

Rubbish idea. We could divide up the entire forum to just makes, models and births, but the beauty of Fun is the sheer diversity and wealth of experience and adventures across the entire spectrum of motorhomes, campers, PVCs and the like.

Stick to jokes Mo, youā€™re quite good at them šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ˜€šŸ˜€šŸ˜€šŸ‘šŸ»

Just imagine wearing PVC at the moment, disposable gloves are bad enough, slippinā€™ and sliddinā€™. I went to the gym and the aircon wasnā€™t working, removing Lycra was a challenge! I think that might be TMIā€¦
Just the thought of it has me sweating........... going to the gym, I mean (of course)

Whilst I would not be opposed to such a sub section, like the Adria section of the continental models, being a relatively new member of this forum I have gleaned lots of information and help from across all the threads. I do wonder if dividing it up into types of Motorhome may mean many would not browse the full forum and thereby miss things Which would have been beneficial to know. Whichever make of van you have their base vehicles are limited by comparison and I think I am right in suggestion most internal fittings are common to a greater or lesser degree so regardless of which sub section they are posted within they are relevant to most types. PVCā€™s do seem to becoming very popular though with many wanting to downsize the weight or physical size and happy to compromise to do so, like us. šŸ˜Š Just thought Iā€™d add my thoughts, and observations, that I considered the divisions in the CAMC forum divisive and bred nastiness from a significant minority which caused many to almost stop contributing. Not something Iā€™ve witnessed on here, thankfully.

Although not in the market yet for something smaller, we have both seriously considered a PVC as a replacement for our much loved Bolero. Personally I enjoy reading about all types of m/h as I can let it "colour"my opinions for any future change - I'd guess this probably works the other way too (going for something larger).
You can of course say you could read both but I probably wouldn't until I was serious about changing and by then may have missed something important. Unfortunately I don't really have the time, or TBH the inclination, these days to scour every single post so on balance a new PVC forum wouldn't work for me.

I donā€™t think Old-Mo meant a completely separate group like the RVOCs, just a subset like the Cookery section or Top tips . It would still be there for everyone to read , just easier to find.

I think itā€™s a good idea - at worst it can do no harm, at best it can help people find relevant information.
I tend to use the lightning symbol so I see all the subsections but if I were posting a query may well do so on PVC.

NOT aiming to split the club into Sub-Sections or divide the forum to just makes...

But if I were to post in PVC/Conversions about a problem only associated with that particular vehicle...

It would be a whole lot easier to go to that section and find an answer than trolling through gord knows how many threads and pages to find the answer...

If there were an answer to a PVC problem it would surely be posted under PVC/conversions...

Much the same as sections/forums for 5th Wheel/American RV`s/Self builds/Continental Models... etc... blah...blah...blah...

Most people if not interested or don`t have any INPUT would go past that thread...

Not every body has the time nor inclination to read every thread that is posted...

Much the same as if a post was put on about a Baily Autograph problem or an Auto Trail...

I would skirt by it as I know diddly squat about them... BUT...

If some one were to put up a question about a PVC..... I WOULD READ IT.. and maybe be able to assist or have some input...

Certainly NOT out to split the club up as you put it.. :shake::shake::shake:
