Hi
We have a Project2000 Bed in our Benimar282.The bed is now stuck in the up position.I have the install document(thanks Wino) and have used the reset sequence and attempted to re-programme the sequence.
When the down button is pushed I can hear the system attempting to work but blips...then nothing.Have removed control panel checked connections all seems fine.
Will try sequence again just in case i missed something
I cannot see a manual wind anywhere.
Has anyone had the same situation and resolved it.
Been through the forums and read relevant threads for info.
Contacted Marquis and they can see it August...to be fair they were very helpful on phone.
Because the bed is in the up position cannot take mattress out!!!

Any help appreciated.

We have the same bed on our Laika and there is a manual wind mechanism in the top right corner as you look at the bed from the control panel. Have a look at the right hand side right at the top and there should be a small hole with a tiny metal end sticking out (like a screwdriver bit) and a winding handle fit to that (ours is stored in the Garage).

Also we have to hold the up button on for a few seconds when the green lights flash and go one its ready to use.

125BEER we had a Benimar 202 , the bed works better on ehu, battery if low struggled, the winder hole was on the edge of the bed, I had to sit under bed and slide hand between wall and bed, you should find a small hole for the winder to fit in, winder was a small cranked , like an Allen key

I have the project 2000 bed in a chausson
The winder is on the motor and accessed by removing a panel with a couple of light fittings in it.. at the front in the middle of the bed just between the front seats..ill get you a photo in a min (y)

I have circled roughly where the winding mechanism should be. Looks like all Manufacturers assemble different but its on the motor which is at the front of the bed by the cab and on the right-Hand side when looking at the bed.

I have a project 2000 bed on a rapido. If you find the hole, try a 5mm Allen key. I use a straight key in a battery drill.
There is a limit switch at top of travel, this may have come loose or not been trigered.you may get control if you manualy trigger the end stop.
Can you post the reset and reprogram procedure.

Been up this morning to locate our Wind down point.....found it...eventually 20210516_130023.jpg
Bed now in the down position.
Started reset process ...and as others have stated leisure battery didnt want to play ball.
So bring down home on EHU.
Does not bode well for future trips if leisure batt cant handle it.Control panel showed full.Left it on 66%

I am a little confused about your problem.

If the bed is UP and all the circuits are working then the motor will take only a tiny amount of current to lower the bed. Gravity is helping !

So basically the battery has no work to do. If it won't lower, I'd look for other problems than the battery.

Going UP is a different story, then it needs a decent battery as it's lifting the weight of the bed, but if you think the battery is struggling to do it, turn on the engine, wait 10 min with it running and raise the bed with the engine running. If that won't work then again I'd look at more than the battery!

I will try starting engine and see what happens.Just thought that running the engine cuts out the 12v supply. Will try Mon.đź‘Ť

We had the same bed, which also got stuck in the up position. We were concerned about it happening again, so we traded in the MH for a manual lift down bed arrangement.

Your engine should be charging the hab battery surely ?
I hope it does...will look into it further.Have relied on EHU most of the time without having to use Hab battery only đź‘Ť

Ours got stuck up. i manually pressed the small black reset button on the corner of the bed that is normally reset by hitting a small metal plate that is fixed to the wall near to the ceiling. It apparently resets a counting system in the beds computor so it knows how many rotations is needed to get to the preset heights

Also read of somebody’s bed that got confused and thought up was down and down was up.!
They somehow sorted it by the hidden button . This might be an explanation why yours appears stuck.

( i just want a simple up / down switch, then i would simply decide where to stop the thing)

Now the bed goes "down" and "up".
Let the bed right down and the belts then reset .
Will now look ahead to fit a straight up/down rocker switch.
Off grid for 2 nights at weekend so wil check battery life etc.

So what changed to make it work ?

I think what happened, the bed was lowered too far and the programme could not detect the stop position. When the bed was raised the stop button did not register, the up /down switches were in reverse.Winding the bed down manually and resetting the programme enabled us to raise to top then lowered to beyond bottom stop point when the belts went slack then re-wound and raised to top.If that makes sense!!
