If anyone is able to help with experience of a Project 2000 bed I’d be really grateful for any input.
We are currently in France not too far from Paris (nearly 6 weeks from heading home) and our Project 2000 electric bed at the front of the MH has decided not to work. It remains in the up position. We have noticed a couple of glitches the last couple of times we have used it, but it has always worked after a couple of false stops. However we felt it needed looking at but when it’s been looked at in the uk no issues have been found on two occasions.
Ours is the version with no key on the 2 button control panel (see pic). It doesn’t appear to have a reset button and at the moment I can’t locate a manual operation point. The operating book that comes with it is mostly useless as it is for the key controlled version.
Please don’t post just to say about other elec bed problems or your thoughts around them as I have read through many blogs about them already and know there are various camps around their use or effectiveness, and I could do with not having to sort through responses to find any genuine help. Thanks for this.
We currently have other bed options so it’s not the end of the world at the moment but obviously we would like to get it working again as soon as possible.

Sounds like a loose connection, are you able to get to and test wiring at all?

I was thinking the same. I will have a fiddle to get at it in a while when it’s not 34 degrees inside!🥵

If you have a hidden button like on the mk 1 you hold your finger on it and press up, up, down, down, then up slowly to reset it. Then you can reset it to your desired heights.

Is there a remote off / on key switch ? I was under the impression that the electric beds all had one to stop kids messing with it.

Other than that, previously did the green leds in the arrow heads come on when the bed was moving ? Do they come on now, but without the bed moving ?

Ate you on mains hook up, sometimes the power of the battery is not sufficient.
Here is a link to the manual for your bed...

Drop down bed
Thanks. Yes on EHU at the moment. Have a manual for the old style bed but not this one so thanks , this is useful.

No remote or key. Just a rocker switch which I believe they moved to after issues with the old system.
Green lights did and do come on. Have tested the control switch and appears to be no problem.

Having checked the manual, this also does not quite fit our bed. Ours doesn’t have the Wrench or warning lights and doesn’t appear to have the bill button either.

OK, you have power to the circuit board, so a couple of ideas.

Find the fuse, pull it out, wait a few minutes, re-insert fuse then try bed again.

If no joy,

Try winding the bed up or down a couple of inches with the manual winder then try the buttons again.

Update…
I have managed to et to the mechanism behind the drivers seat, where I imagine there would be a stop limit switch or similar and although I can’t actually locate one at present, I do think there is some looseness about the wiring loom here. Will need further excavation to fully understand.
Have managed now to get the bed to lower and return up. Ran the full length of the drop and back to top to see if that would help ‘reset’ it. Not entirely convinced it has, but it is working for now and I can see what I may need to do to improve things.

Thanks for the help offered.

One problem we have, is there appears to be no manual winder. I can’t locate one anywhere.

Also have removed the fuses, and checked them thoroughly with no joy. Definitely think this is a dodgy bit of wiring issue somewhere.

Doesn’t appear to have the hidden button, but maybe it is that well hidden I can’t feel it either.😉

On ours which is the older model the reset switch is in-between the up and down and you can just feel it as a dimple between them under the plastic. Hope you get it sorted

Thanks. Will check it more carefully and see if there is something I missed.

The manual mechanism on my Rapido is driven by a 5mm allen key, all that can be seen is an hole for the key or winder to be fitted into. So look for a strange hole somewhere in the vacinity of the motor

Have a look down the side of the mattress as that is where out stop limit switch is and sometime the duvet covers it and we have found if it does not go all the way back up sometimes it has a hissy fit until it is reset and sent back the way back to the top.

Thanks. Had that problem this morning. Didn’t go all the way up (our fault for not moving a clip on fan) and then refused to work. Managed to get it to work enough to get back up and it works again now.
Think I need to find a way to rest stop limits if it is possible. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Thanks for your help.

I am sure there is, we have the different panel with a hidden button between the up and down switch and with a bit of jiggery pokery can reset the stop limits. These are the reset instructions we use.

Thank you for this. Could well be useful, if I can get any further with finding out how to access the programming aspect for this panel.
