Wondering if anybody can help on a broken fly screen issue.
I have a 2015 Hymer B634sl Duo Mobil with a Horrex Fly screen on the main door. The string has broken and the kind people at Horrex in Holland have sent (FOC)the repair kit, also a link to a video on how to do it. Looks tricky but happy to have a go. HOWEVER, removing the screen appears to be an issue. Two

no screws to the bottom rail come out easy enough and according to the video you should be able to lift up an pull out the frame into the MH. Dear old Hymer however have a panel over he door ( with ALDI heating control panel and water pump switch) blocks the screen lifting. There is no obvious fixing point to this panel . I have tried pulling it forward hoping it might be on some type of hidden clip , but the padded panel at the side of the door prevents that coming forward. That panel appears to be fixed from behind, which would make access to the fixings behind the shower panels, therefore having to dismantle the shower area!. This seems to be a bit OTT, but then again it seems to be the way with Hymer, why make things simple when you can do things complicated.
Can anyone advise on getting the screen out without a major dismantle project , which I really don't have the confidence to do ( i have a habit of things breaking for me!)
I have phoned several MH dealers around the North West and nobody is familiar with Horrex or is willing to work on a Hymer. Travelworld the Hymer dealer are only 45 min from me but I can imagine that they would charge a day at £95 hr to look at it and likely have a 5 month wait.
I would welcome anybody's constructive help.

just repaired ours only a few days a go a broken string.

you need to remove the unit. DO NOT remove the broken cord until you have established its rout through the frame and its enght.

once laid flat on the floor its a simple few screws ( likely to be star heads ) to take the frame apart. you will find small spring tensioners at the end of each string and that the cords go 2 up the frame and 2 down the frame.
measure up the broken cord ( i bought some 1.5mm Kevlar cord; fleabay or even a marine shop.

thread the new cord through the screen fix the spring end. run the cords into the frame and connect with the little tension locaters in the frame.
reassemble, make sure it works, replace in van.

its not difficult, i have done it 3 time now twice for me once for another person.
suggest taking photos at each stage so you remember how to put it back together.

good luck

Look inside the top U shaped rail of the fly screen frame and see if there are 2 to 4 small screws. Remove these and the screws in the U shaped side rails then ease the whole frame forwards starting with the top rail then you will be able to lift out.

Suggest you take photos just before you lift out for reference as the fly screen frame has a tendancy to collapse when removed.

My fly screen problem was caused by putting my hand through it
