Hello

My daughter has asked me about this on Broken Link Removed.

It looks neat and tidy. Is this a reasonable price?

If she does go to look at it I have a pal down there who can check it out mechanically.

Thanks.

KH

If its a Diesel make sure the cooling system is not showing signs of water leak
make sure that there's evidence that the cam/drive belt has been changed, early ones suffered with Head gasket failure

Can't help much KH, but, it looks immaculate! Also looks a genuine ad'. Plenty of info' on there.

The mileage would put me off. 116,000 is a lot! Could probably negotiate the price down?

As they are all imports could be km that would only be 72K miles.

My bongo's are for sale...

Left one is a bit dodgy but the right is OK. Can't play them anymore as I have a hernia and can't wedge them between my upper thighs..... ::bigsmile:::bigsmile:::bigsmile:

Pricewise I would say its a bit on the strong side for a petrol ,automatic rhd so milage in mph I believe ,mpg ??

AS an ex bongo owner would have thought 6k would have been about right, however looks very clean and nice conversion.
Good solid vans and nice easy driver.

Did you see the bongo E motion on eBay? Very unusual. Item no 161647022450

Looks clean I sold my one last year guy bought it over phone for 4500 sight unseen just sent a guy up on plane drove it away and it wasn't super clean just check for rust all over specially wheel arches and auto box changes ok had mine few year need to be kept right but wasn't that hard to work on mileage is probably in km not miles they all are usually just the speedo facia replaced to miles

We had one & loved it! Only sold it to change to a van with a proper washroom etc.
As has been said, seems a bit steep at close to 7k, closer to 6k would be about right. Sold ours for £6,250 including a Khyam awning a few years ago & it was'nt as tidy as this one.
It's probably got kilometres on the odometer as they're all Japanese imports & the wheel is on the right because they still drive on the right.
I'd also check re petrol or diesel, ours was the 2.5 diesel, not the thirstier ford V6. It was quite fast as well, especially compared to vans we've had since.
Better value than a VW if your not bothered about the image etc.
Investigate the cooling system, lots of long hoses between the rad & engine as it's set a way back between the driver & passenger seats.
We had a coolant alarm & a new cambelt fitted by the importer we used.
Hope this is of some use.
