Researching!
Hey, I'm considering a new 22/23 plate motorhome. The one I'm looking at comes with 1 year dealer warranty. Is a pre-purchase inspection likely to raise anything on such a new model (which is serviced and has a hab check)?

Thanks!

Always, it is a big investment, make sure you are 100% happy....

Always👍
Check your model and make for past recalls or common faults and get them checked, they all don’t fail at the same time 🙄

Once you have handed over your money you are in their hands should you need the warranty.
Better to be sure everything is likely to be as expected before buying as you lose money and time getting out of it. It is a small price in comparison for peace of mind if you aren’t sure what to look for.
Someone on here only last year if I remember correctly bought a pig in a poke (albeit an older vehicle) and lost a lot of money.

Yeah, thanks for the reply. I just wonder therefore who is the best to carry out an independent check. AA do a motorhome specific one but is it really worth it or is it full of exclusions and caveats which leave you still wondering!

Either use someone you know and trust but they are unlikely to be able to do the full history checks for insurance claims and recalls or read the T’s & C’s for a AA or RAC type report as these usually have some guarantees for outstanding finance etc.
The main thing is be confident that you are happy before exchanging money. Edit to say for a report or a motorhome

We recently sold our motorhome and the buyer organised a guy to come and do a check
I was very impressed with how much he checked he even took it for a test drive
He said he covered Essex into London price varied on how far he traveled
For Colchester it was £200
