Posting photographs, I need help (1 Viewer)

Using my updated Windows 10 which microsoft have kindly added a tile called 'Photos', I can no longer Copy and Paste pictures from photos to here.
Previously from 'Pictures' it was a doddle. I have tried various workarounds sometimes succeeding but with more fails than wins.
Am I missing something?

Never tried to copy n' paste directly.

I use the "upload a file" button, and navigate to the folder on my Win10 laptop or external HDD where the photo is stored. Then "open" it and wait for it to upload.

Both methods work for me on Win10. Never used "Photos" not even noticed it. Most of my photos I resize in Microsoft Office picture manage then save to a folder I upload from.

Windows... I thought that old thing of the past went out the window a long time ago.....

I've got to dislike Windows 10 and it's updates. I used to happily use Windows Live email and movie maker which they no longer support After an update last year both became unworkable .

@rosalan I noticed "photos" appeared on my desktop recently, just delete the shortcut and continue using "my pictures" to upload etc.

I've got to dislike Windows 10 and it's updates.

Dislike ! Positive hatred here. So it went away and peace returned, the smiles returned, the blood pressure reduced and I now help old ladies across the road.

The only time I get the laptop out is to update the garmin camper satnav..... it takes about 15mins before I can do anything on it... seems like it runs on steam...

Next satnav will be the WiFi version...
