Hi everyone, I have a Rollerteam 785 T LINE 2019.
The Habitation door frame has a seal pushed in place. The seal has a gap at the bottem (see pics) , is the metal the seal is pushed onto steel or aluminium as I think I can see rust through the gap. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

It the seal that's rusty not the door frame, door frame is aluminium and metal in the seal is steel

I filled the gap with silicone on my garage door seals after turning them round so the gaps at the top

As RM_Marine says it will be the steel wire inside the seal that's rusting. We've got \ had the same on our AT garage doors.

Alymar Ours was doing the same, so I bought a metre length of the Hartel door seal from Prima Leisure.
I removed the seal and cut out the rusty section 50mm on either of the join.
I then refitted the seal, but fitted it so the join will be at the top of the frame and not the bottom. Two reasons, one, any new section let in is less likely to be seen at the top of the door as you tend to look where you are walking when you go into your van, and two, gravity will take water to the bottom of the door frame so why the hell did the put the join at the bottom in the first place.

As I only used 100mm or so of the length I bought, I have a fair bit left over.
If you want to do the same as me then PM me your address details and I'll post you a length so you can repair yours.

New section of seal let in at the top of the frame.

Gap is at the bottom to let any drainage out.
