MH alarm started going off on the drive this afternoon remote wouldn’t open the van so used the key via the drivers door. Anyway all checked, everything seems fine but the control panel is telling me gas failure. Firstly turned the gas off but don’t know where to start checking it over.
question is would the mh alarm be set off by the gas system and what next.
thanks in advance.

Welcome
Dont know the answer but was a control panel it telling you that it had run out of gas?
What make and model is it?
Best wishes
Mike

Maybe nothing to do with the gas system, is your batteries low..? Is there a co2 detector that’s picked up some gasses from your batteries? Are they on charge and being cooked..?

Thanks for prompt responses. Van is a kontiki 669. the control panel was turned off but after switching it on it would seem I had the heat source turned to gas and set at 14 dg. So still a bit stumped.

I get this also, I dont have an alarm fitted, immobiliser and tracker. So don’t get alarm
Think it’s a conflict between the Sargent unit and the alde unit it resets no problem yes a bit confusing.

A bit surprised that you havent had response from someone with the same van or at least the same heating system.
How would the alarm have been set off? Are we talking about LPG Gas or Co2? Does the Alde heating work when the control panel is switched off- my older Truma certainly wouldnt.
How long have you had the van? In the meantime I would turn off the LPG at the bottle and the heating and see if problem recurs. I would also consider leaving the alarm system off depending of course on where you are etc
Step by step, you'll get there and probably laugh about it later!
