We're Bilbao ferrying off to portugal mid-November, Algarve in particular then home via Spain and France.

We were last there, Algarve, about five years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the country.

Could anyone tell me if any of the following sites have wifi ?

Dourada, Alvor
Camping Albufeira
Monte Gordo
Trindade, Lagos
Armacao de Pera
Fuseta

Orbitur indicates that several of their sites have (free) wifi access, namely -
Caminha, Costa de Caparica, Évora, Foz do Arelho, Gala,
Guincho, Madalena, Mira, Montargil, Quarteira, Quiaios, Rio Alto,
S. Pedro de Moel, Sagres, Valado, Valverde,
Viana and Elxadai Parque - Elvas / Badajoz

We're basically looking to keep in touch with the world (wife uses VOIP/Skype a lot), be near a town so that a walk to a supermarket or similar is possible, good area for a walk, sea air, clean toilet facilities and quiet neighbours with friendly dogs.

Too much to ask for ??? All suggestions will be gratefully received. And should we book ahead ?

Thanks

Hi,

We stayed at the Orbitur site in Quarteria earlier this year, nice clean site, limited on-site shop but it's only a short walk into town where there are several supermarkets - had a great time. This year there were two rallies on the site (one C&CC and one Dutch); the C&CC one won't be there next year, so my guess is that there will be plenty of room. The site itself had no WiFi (at that time) but there are several internet cafes near by. There's a Dutch cafe on the front that has WiFi for (AFAIR) about 2 euros an hour and a free WiFi connection at/near the Tourist Information that can be accessed from the beach and some of the local cafes. If you fancy standing with your laptop in the post office in Quarteria they also have a free WiFi connection:Smile:

You can search on the ACSI site:

and that gives details of sites that have WiFi.

Have a great time

Mike
