Does anyone have a recommendation for a practical , affordable , mobile air con unit for the rare days it’s gets hot - for the motorhome - and maybe for the house

This page has quite a bit of information and also a video about the various setups available. I hope it helps.

I have no affiliation to this page or anything on it. I just thought it looked useful.

I have had a "portable" one for the home for at least a decade.
It's a noisy cumbersome beast but does the job.
It knocks about 5 degrees off the ambient temperature in my bedroom... which turned on an hour before bedtime, allows me to fall asleep.

I've actually just bought a new one which is 10% smaller in size and 20% more efficient

23.5Kg

I suspect it would be too big, too noisy & too power hungry to be of use in a Motorhome.
Although, if today I was on a site with EHU, I'd certainly consider bringing it.
I don't think I'd be buying one just for the van.
But it is significantly less costly than an installed one.

I purchased two from here last year.

I got one like this:-
Amazon product ASIN B07NPNK4TG
I bought a 3M hose kit, and 3D printed a holder that clips to the shower pop up ceiling vent. Works very well.
Give me 10 mins, I'll take a few photos.
Total cost under £300

Cheers,

Steve

Mainly used in the house and didn’t bring one with me this time, wish I did to be honest.

I’ll soon be getting air con fitting now they say the weathers getting hotter over the years.

bought this this week, top up with cold water and its away, im very suprised at how cold it gets even though its about the size of a 4 slice toaster standing on end, it will fit nicely in a locker and not take up much space, and at 60w it will run easily with an inverter, for the moho its one of my best buy,s moho air con.PNG

Is that an evaporative cooler?

Just ordered on from Seaflo directly
Never going to be as effective as proper aircon but for that price it's worth a gamble.
