I'm looking for a medium size porch awning or sunshade awning, just to sit outside under. Nothing fancy, it won't be used for sleeping in or anything. Our van doesn't have a Fiamma or similar, so I'm wondering if we do get one, how would we attach it??? I've seen these on YouTube being attached to caravans by some sort of universal rail running along the top edge but I don't know if my MH has such a rail. Not picked it up yet so can't check. Thanks.

Weve had various awnings and most takes much effort to put up you don't bother for less than a weeks stay weve got a quest pop up which is great for a weekend

Sunncamp Swift porch awning….?
You‘d need to attach c-channel to your ‘van to thread the awning through - mine threads through c-channel I glued to the bottom of our wind-out awning case.(y)

Yes, that's exactly what I've been looking at. Missus doesn't want anything too enclosed so that's the best one I've seen that fits our needs. Just something simple to sit out under. My issue is that I don't have a wind out awning to attach to. I've been looking at magnetic holders (c-channel?) or maybe some quick lock and release buckles to fasten it to the roof bars. Does it have straps or loop attachments along the top?

This is the same as mine. Just looking at the van dimensions on the internet, it seems the height of my MH is 280 and I noted that the Sunncamp Swift is up to 250??? Not sure the length of the roof bars. The Sunncamp is 260 wide, isn't it?

Not really designed to be strapped to the ‘van - it only has the Keder strip along the top which slides into the C-channel. You should be able to get a ‘caravan awning chanel’ or C-channel fitted to your ‘van which would then be the correct height for the awning - I bought mine in 1.5m lengths, but continuous lengths are available. The awning itself comes in different widths, up to 3.9m (Swift 390), so you could choose whatever is appropriate for your needs…… (y)

Same here, quest pro 4 screen house suits our needs, as payload is important, we just got a quest free standing pop up tent to go inside, so grandkids, or extra adult, can use, but he's we are happy with our quest, just need the high too version, for attaching to our van now to be on sale, then perfect!
