My sweet little yorkie had some wild strawberry seeds removed from her nasal passages under anaesthetic today. I took her to my vet 2 months ago as she had been in the garden playing and suddenly began coughing, as I was concerned she had a foreign body lodged in her respiratory tract. The vet said that she had kennel cough!, I thought surely it would not be that acute... After a week of antibiotics no change......so the vet then suggested it might be lung worm...I was still of the opinion that something was stuff in her nose. Another week of antibiotis, then a week of yet more medication....The vet then examined her nasal passages under anaesthetic...still found nothing.., so eventually referred her to a specialist vet..Turns out she had about 8 wild strawberry seeds deeply embedded at the back of her nose...Lots of inflammation....no wonder after being in there for about 6 weeks!...I bet she will feel a whole lot better tomorrow....
