Mmmmmm, you don't say where you live basil!! My van could do with a shoe over the front, highly polished an all that.

Onto serious stuff?? I suppose all that front end cleaning wore you out, so you took a drink, fell asleep, woke and realised it was too late to do the rest. Now, it is raining and windy, so you have to wait until the weather clears I suppose
