Hi folks - 1st few days in new full-time MH, electrical problems... After 3 days on 230v hookup (from standard mains plug) disconnected this morning and system showed error code W 418 H (low voltage). Battery levels showing full (or nearly full) at 13.0V out of 13.5 max. When disconnected, every time I put a load on the electrics (e.g. raising the steps) the Truma CP reboots. If a greater load, fridge & whole system reboots after a minute or less of up time. Error code hasn't shown again.

Anyone familiar with this problem? All experience & wisdom gratefully received, new to this size & type of MH!

Thank you!

You could try contacting Truma on 01283 587960
Thanks but they simply told me the error code & suggested I contact the dealer (who's in France!). Currently searching for a mobile engineer in the SE with availability today...

Duff leisure battery despite the gauge? What does the voltage show after an hour of disconnection from the EHU?

Good question - when off the hookup it's rebooting every few minutes so I'm reluctant to leave it off long enough to find out...

You have a duff leisure battery. Time to change it
It's starting to feel that way... MH is new & hardly used though. Could it be from too long without use (sitting in the dealer's car park for months with no trickle?)

Yes, it could. So under warranty?

Have you got access to another battery that you could jump to the existing one to give an idea if that is really the problem? Leave it off the ehu when trying this.

Give Apex a call. (near Maidstone/Kent)
But it sounds like a duff battery.

Once you have resolved the problem, get a Battery Master fitted, (£60) it will then balance the load between engine and leisure batteries.

Oh, and welcome to the SE England, Hymer MLT sub group!
