Looking for one now
Any suggestions for a place to stay for two or three nights in Dublin near the port or city centre? Doesn't have to be a campsite, just somewhere safe and reasonably quiet.

We will be seeing Garth Brooks at Croke Park, Dublin in mid September, which is near the port and also want to do a Guiness Tour which is in the heart of the city.

I understand that until very recently one could park on one of the piers but this has now been banned.

Thanks :)

Not sure, but what I do know is you don't want to be staying anywhere near the port. It's a place to hold your breath and drive through as quickly as you can. Especially at night.
Dun Laogharie is a lovely town but it's the other side of Dublin and I'm not sure what sites there are but the apps will tell you 👍

Thanks for the warning. I'll give the port a wide berth.

Hi l would think your chances of finding somewhere are slim if not impossible. Have a look at the Bray area to the South of Dublin. Coastal and more rural Inland. Transport links into the city should be plentiful. Enjoy the Guinness Brewery tour it's very informative and your concert at Croke Park.

Did the Guinness tour a long time ago and had the worst pint of Guinness whilst over there.

Don't how close you call close but we are staying at The Snailbox about half and hour from Dublin. Comes highly recommended.

We stayed on the coast road in greystones a couple of nights. 5 mins to dart station.
Not sure if u still can and it was out of season and BC. Ask motorhome craic or buy their stopover app if it's still going.
