Pioneer

We have a pioneer stereo sat nav no problem works great. I want to update the sat nav but dont know the model the book it came with is generic and covers about six models avicf980 etc

I have a avic f160 combo unit and tried to upgrade the sd card but it cleared it self and have tried pioneer who sent me to dtronix who gave me no help and sent me to navteq (now called HERE) they sent me back to pioneer so back at stage one again . Was going to ask for help but got beat to it so now 2 want help???
