I have an older pioneer SPH 1 in the moho.

I've looked at Pioneer radios to replace this old model and there are a few different Pioneer radios, I've no idea why there are so many varying in price, can someone explain to me the differences ?

I'm not looking to spend much being a tight wad, so something like this http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5...0001&campid=5338547443&icep_item=401923832095

or this

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5...0001&campid=5338547443&icep_item=113870029792

but I can't see what the differences are are to make up £200 difference in price

If you are a fan of Pioneer I would go with that
The choice of decent aftermarket radios seems to have reduce due to most radios now being integrated with the dash
Personally I have Sony as first choice
Lots of weird Chinese options out there as well

you can buy a chinese one from e bay for about 70 that does all that the pioneer 300 plus one does

I put a similar if not the same as your first choice in my b544 (now sold) and put an expensive dab aerial on the roof but it didn’t make much difference... whatever radio you put in it will only sound as good as the speakers will allow, better speakers and good sound deadening behind them will give you a better sound.

May I suggest you work out what you want the 'radio' to do

My requirements were: Radio (only used in the Isle of Man for the racing info) & the ability to play music from USB

At the time of looking for a replacement to the OEM in my van, Halfords had a special offer on free fitting including all parts required. My Pug Boxer required an additional harness & a fascia plate (about £40 worth) I chose a kenwood radio on special offer for £99 - So £99 fully fitted - bargain

That was over 4 years ago & it still works great & sounds good

I should add that the radio has other facilities (CD player, traffic, phone/ipod socket etc) that I don't use. Plus, I had already replaced the hopeless OEM door speakers
