We have the above sat nav and very happy with it.

As I have a little bit of time on my hands, you can spend only so much time on a bike turbo trainer, I thought I would investigate adding some campsite POI's. Map updates have to done using a paid service via Naviextra. There doesn't seem to be a clear cut method that is documented for manually adding POIs, so if anyone has done this on the above models I would be very interested in the process that you used.

Thanks in advance.

I can’t answer the question but this reply will put it up to the top of the list and hopefully somebody can help you 👍🏻

I've not found a way yet.
My new van came with an Pioneer AVIC-EVO1 -DT2
I stick with my trusty old TomTom for all the free POI's

Ditcha you are correct it does have an SD and I have had a look at a backup and found a folder and POI files which seems to have a couple of other file extensions as well. So not sure if these additional files are created when the POIs are used or what.

No SD card but you update the software though a USB pen

Any poi you want to add should be in the form of .klm, and should be put in the folder "iGO/content/userdata/poi", then the icon files for the poi which will be a .BMP should be in "iGO/content/userdata/usericon" if the folder "userdata" is not in the "content" folder then create it putting in the "poi" and "usericon" folders within it.

Here is a list of folder hierarchy and file extension explained

Thanks for that Ditcha, brilliant. I can't get access to the SD as the van is in storage and we can't gain access to it until lockdown is eased.

I may take you up on the POI offer tomorrow, I have packed up for the evening, been driving a desk all day!

Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Hi All,
Slightly off topic, but I have Morocco maps from my Trucknav and want to upload them onto my Pioneer unit. They are in "HERE" format as the satnav uses Igo mapping. There doesn't seem to be an intuitive way of doing it, can anyone help or do I take my trusty satnav back to Morocco this winter? TIA.
