The table in our 2017 Pilote G600 has suddenly become very wobbly and will not swivel round either. I have removed the 6 screws which hold the leg to the floor to look for the cause but it will not budge. It is as if it was also stuck down with adhesive; although that seems unlikely. I am frightened of using too much force in case I damage the floor. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

I'm following this as I am having trouble removing the table in my Hymer. I've removed the screws fixing it to the floor but, like your, it won't budge.
I'm sure I saw a thread recently covering this but I can't find it now.
Can anyone help?

Ours came off quite easily after taking the screws out. I did wonder if the post went through the floor but it didnt.

It just won't budge Paul. I can't get anything under it to lever it off either.

I can’t see the point in gluing it down John. I took the table top off first (bloody great heavy thing) took the six machine screws out and gave the post a smack right at the top and off it came.

I've taken the table top off too (although mines quite light) and it seems to be stuck fast. Only 4 machine screws in mine.

Hello guys, Sorry I've been late getting back on this but I'm new here and I had to sort out my subs first and I live in France. My table is the variety that have a very heavy top that folds in half with hinges, swivels through 360 degrees (sometimes!) and slides in one direction. It is made by Ilse-Technic in Germany. It stands on a single telescopic square steel leg with the outside element being 50mm square. At the bottom of this leg there are 4 threaded bosses welded on with metal threads coming up through the swivel base. These are loose and that is where the rocking comes in. To see all this I had to release the round plastic tubes that fit inside each other for the telescopic action. they are only for appearance to hide the support leg. Unfortunately I did not realise that it was held in place by 2 wood-type screws into integral plastic lugs on the bottom one that also come up from beneath so I have damaged that part. The swivel base is held to the floor with 6 x 5mm round headed single helix screws that are 25mm long. I plan to try Paul's approach and remove the table top so that I can give the leg a good sharp smack with a heavy mallet. Perhaps the shock will have more effect than me tugging at it while the bottom is flapping around! I've also packed out the space beneath the leg with thin cardboard to reduce the movement. We are planning a trip away at the end of the month so I don't know whether to risk that now and end up with no table or leave it until we get back. Perhaps I could attach a photo if that would help?

Is your 600 the 'g' or 'l' version?

If it's the one with the solid table leg this is the same leg and base as fitted to the G740c. If it is, I can confirm it is held in by wood screws into the floor. I removed ours by taking out the screws (I think it was 6 No.) then used a long scraper tapped in all round the base to loosen from the floor, then rocked the leg from side to side until it came free. I recall it didn't want to move at first but with a bit of perseverance it came free.

Can't help if it's the telescoping leg.

It is the G600L where, I believe, the "L" refers to the shape of the seating. We have a bed over the front seats and the table does drop down telescopically to form another bed base. It is a van that is well-suited to only 2 people so why they fit a table big enough for 6 or 7 is beyond me apart from the fact that the lounge area and seating is generous. The table has a slide-out support for the top because it is disposed asymmetrically over the support leg but that suggests that they know there is an intrinsic problem. I really do like the idea of getting a thin scraper between the floor and the metal leg base. I tried a screw driver but it immediately started to dent into the floor so I stopped. The pattern evolving is that this is not an uncommon problem but, more importantly, that no adhesive is involved.

Thanks very much for your time and assistance.

OK, it is sorted! I managed to insert a rigid paint / paper scraper a few mm under the metal foot in one position and then another immediately adjacent and another next to that. They progressively each made a little more headway until the base started coming off and I clobbered the top of the leg to finish it off. Underneath were 4 x 6mm countersink head Allen screws which were all loose by about 2 full turns! They are not good quality screws and are a sloppy fit in the female thread of the bosses welded onto the bottom of the leg. There is no form of locking device or any sign of LokTight or a similar product.
The flooring is completely undamaged so a good result. I took pictures in case anyone else needs to see how it is assembled.
Thanks to everyone who helped with ideas and bolstered my confidence to simply go for it.
