Been waiting for a few weeks to pick it up , so we can have the new reg .Its a bailey 765 which is a 6 birth , seems rather extravagant as we are only a couple . It swallowed up all the gear that we have amassed that used to fill up our old MH with plenty of room leftover . Retirement is just around the corner and we are hoping to spend longer periods of time away so the extra space will come in handy we hope !
We were both impressed with Becks ,the dealer who were very straight forword to deal with and gave us a good demo on all the appliances .We will have to see what their after sales service is like ,but so far so good .
We are going to overnight locally tomorrow just to try everything out ,then all being well we are off for a fortnight ,not sure where , depends on the weather .:)

Congratulations on getting the new van, very exciting! We have been to have a look round Becks, usually have a chat with Greg, the salesman who used to work at Simpsons where we bought our vans.

We like the look of the Bailey motorhomes, seem to be amazing value. Maybe you could post a few pics of your new pride and joy and let us know how you get on.

Good luck.

Paul

Great times ahead :wine: Enjoy.

Got ours from Becks three weeks ago, very good to deal with.

We looked at the 6 berth some time ago but it immediately struck me that it is pretty poor that with 6 people it has a small fridge. Can only be a payload issue but impractical? Has it changed?

I don't think the OP is planning to travel with 6 people. :) But it isn't a surprise something so big struggles with payload. However, I guess with most buyers many of the passengers will be little people - but where to store all their ice cream is indeed a worry!

Yes fair comment and we are only two too and could not manage with a small fridge
I had to buy a cool box to give us the space we needed - but we also wanted an oven and a larger fridge wasn't then an option.

Congratulations. I have just looked at the 765 on utube, very classy ! (y)

Congratulations enjoy (y)

Fantastic enjoy your new van .looking at content's of fridge .looks like a bit of a party to be had.:drinks:

Been looking at the 765 in detail
Will be looking at Peterborough!
Interested in two things., how you get on with the leccy bed and how you find the storage
The storage/ lack of garage is the stopper for me at the moment:)

I like the size of your fridge. I so wish we'd had a big one than the teeny one we have. But that would mean changing vans. Hey that's not a bad idea!

Great stuff(y)

Hope you enjoy the van and you have picked a great dealer with Becks.

Congratulations! Hope you have many happy adventures in her!:)

Well just returned from an overnight stay locally at Kelling Heath campsite, not the sort of place we would usually go but OK at this time of the year. The new MH drove well and all the appliances worked OK, very impressed with the Aldi heating. The fridge seems adequate for our use .Plenty of storage for us , the electric drop down bed worked fine and was comfortable.
A couple of things we have noted are : the water filling and waste water draining is very slow due I think to the small bore of the pipes, this is something that I think we can live with. The other thing is the toilet flush tank and black tank are quite small but once again that's something that's not too much of a problem.
Over all we are happy with our new MH as we realise that life is full of compromises .

Glad your first trip was a good one! Those little niggles are usually forgotten once you travel and use the van more! Enjoy!
