Has anyone been contacted by Phantom now Movinginteligence about changing there tracking system from 2G to 4G as ours has stopped working and the only way to get it back on line is by having the upgrade done, also the alarm only works with the 2G so no tracker no alarm responce.

Below is what we have received from them, cost to have it done is £ 147

Anyone else been notified ???????

I have asked the same question, what happens when 2g stops in relation to my subscription and if mine was using 2g. It is and again 147 for upgrade and they would transfer my subscription over. I would like an upgrade to a s5 device with an isolator so that’s my next question for them. Tracker is still working though

Interesting, our Phantom seemed to have stopped sending data on the 9th January. Have opened a ticket.
 
Just checked mine Paul Wilkins It updated 12 minutes ago and appears to have kept the updates since I last brought it home. Getting good charge at the moment too with sunny days in East Yorkshire 😊

Ours has stopped working on Friday. I have also raised a ticket. I hope it isn't anything to do with 2g as was fitted about 9 months ago.

2G isn’t supposed to be turned off until 2030 in the UK, or so I’m told.

Yes it’s easy to do, I’ve done it. Just release the single small screw and take the case apart. I seem to recall it was a CR2032 battery, the same as is in my Fiat remote, which I know is not the same as the ones in my Skoda remotes. Just remove and replace, nothing extra to do re discharging any latent energy in the remote unlike my Skoda one procedure. I use Panasonic batteries for all the remotes.

Just had an update from Phantom re: the lack of data since Friday. Apparently, there was an issue with one of the SIM providers Friday and over the weekend, the data should start being received by phantom today.

"I have looked over the account and can see there has been an issue with the sim provider on friday and over weekend unfortunately out of our control but this has affected some of our customers. I am informed that they should be coming back online today throughout the day. Thanks"
 
However... still nothing as at 6:30pm. If it hasn't updated by the morning, I'll get back on their case.

Mine has just started working again. Alert came through that the MH had moved as I set the shield when it didn't know where it was.
