I am about to buy a new motorhome and both these dealer have what I am looking for.
Does anybody have experience of dealing with either as they don't get very good reviews out there.?

Some info here for Knowepark:

Both ask way over the top in my opinion. Ive looked at them several times over the years but found England to be the cheapest. Want van..will travel.
I agree with Irnbru, Perthshire caravans more or less dismissed my business, no chance of a discount, couldn't even give me a delivery date (back in 2015). I ended up going to England for dealers wanting my business & offering a good discount. Ran the van in on the way back to Scotland

We experienced the same as irnbru says when looking earlier this year, Perthshire didn’t impress us when looking and Knowepark want far to much for a year old Carthago and couldn’t tell me if it had been a rental van which made me suspicious that you don’t know the history of a year old van.

I guess it depends on your priorities, Knowepark are a long standing family owned business with great facilities, but as stated, don’t need to discount to sell the volumes they require. If buying new, just remember that most vans have Some faults that will need to be returned to purchasing dealer to rectify. Buying local obviously easier, but what discount could you get “down south” ? Generally people advise to buy new locally if possible.
good luck in whatever you decide.

I had very poor aftersales from Knowepark with a new van, admittedly 12 years ago, but poor nonetheless.

Good point, you might get put at the back of the queue or not at all if business is good.

Have had five different vans, some new and some not, from five different UK dealers over the last twenty odd years. My present van was bought new from Knowepark two years ago and - has to date anyway - been the best experience of the lot with no complaints (so far)!
A fair part exchange with any new van syndrome snags sorted promptly. A couple of after sale installs were fitted neatly and well. I have no connection with the company other than being a satisfied customer - at present anyway!!!
As was mentioned in the post above, you will need to return the van to the dealer for its annual warranty/damp checks which can become a tedious chore if the van needs to be left at the workshop for any remedials to be carried out as happened to me in my earlier van life when the van in that instance needed a new re-seal. (Thanks Hymer!) The advice to buy local if you can is in my opinion, very wise .
Whatever - good luck! Dealerships and marques are sadly still a bit of a lottery in my opinion.

I bought from Knowepark. Very easy to deal with and I got a fair discount.

Some warranty work that I needed was done on time as promised.

I will use them again.

Have bought 2 caravans from Knowepark in the past and cant fault them for service. However for a Motorhome I found them expensive in comparison to dealers down south. Ended up buying our Motorhome from a dealer in Newark. As for Perthshire................. best not to comment.

Sister had issues with knowepark in the past ...they lost her entire service history for a van she bought from them ....cost a fair bit in court action.

She bought her second/current van from Perth shire caravans ...poor aftersales
